Over the weekend I decided to have a little play with fine silver wire in order to make an elegant pearl ring.
I discovered that crocheting with wire is not the easiest of methods to get along with, however, soon realised that this was because I was probably using the wrong thickness of wire and would probably recommend a 0.3 mm thickness or 28 gauge, as I think it is known. I’ve just ordered some more fine silver wire at this thickness.
The right size crochet hook helps and I used a .90 mm hook, although I’m not sure whether a larger/smaller size would be better because the wire kept slipping off the hook!!!. These are the beginner pitfalls that I think every person will experience until you get used to using the medium and get a feel for it.
Anyway, without further ado, I’ll show you some pictures of my completed rings and if you would like to order one then please contact me via the ‘Contact’ page on my site or email me.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog and like my creations.
